The "Dotney" application ("the App" or "We") values your privacy and personal data security. This Privacy Policy explains how data is processed by the App. Our core commitment is: Your data belongs entirely to you. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your private information to third-party servers.

1. Zero-Server Architecture & On-Device Processing

The App operates entirely offline and maintains no cloud servers.

• Text recognition (OCR) and QR code scanning from screenshots are executed in real-time on your device using iOS's native Vision framework.
• Due date parsing is performed locally via on-device regex and date parsing logic without using external AI API servers.
• We cannot and do not collect your screenshots, recognized text, or generated task items.

2. Apple Reminders Sync (EventKit)

The App requests access to Apple Reminders to sync tasks created from screenshots:

• Tasks are written to your native Apple Reminders app using iOS's official EventKit API.
• Any multi-device synchronization is managed securely via Apple's official iCloud infrastructure under Apple's privacy policy.
• Developers have no access to your iCloud data.

3. Permissions & System Access

The App requests only the permissions necessary to provide core features, and all processing is handled strictly on-device:

• Reminders (EventKit): To save and sync generated tasks to native Apple Reminders, enabling seamless iCloud sync across your Apple devices.
• Photos Access (Photo Library): When executing Shortcuts with screenshots, the App reads only the screenshot you selected to perform local on-device Vision OCR. We never scan your library in the background.
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Used for voice-based quick task entry. Voice audio is transcribed locally using iOS's built-in Speech framework and is never sent to external servers.
• Location (When In Use): Used exclusively to calculate real-time distance to task locations for check-ins locally. We do not track or store your location history.
• Journaling Suggestions: Used to read suggestions you explicitly select (podcasts, workouts, music) to generate daily capsule cards locally.
• Live Activities: Used to display real-time task progress on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Data remains solely within device memory and local App Group storage.

You can inspect or revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security.

4. Third-Party Analytics & Tracking

ScreenshotTodo contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks (such as Firebase or Google Analytics), or behavioral trackers. We do not collect device identifiers (IDFA/UUID) or track user usage.

5. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to align with new app features or Apple Developer Policy updates. Any changes will be posted on this page.
